More summer camping, tra la lee
Hey blerg! We went camping again last weekend. Camping trip #2 of 2016! It was kind of last-minute.
You see, my husband said that he was going to spend ANOTHER WHOLE WEEKEND fishing with his uncle, and I may have made a BIG DEAL ABOUT IT, maybe because he just abandoned me for EIGHT WHOLE DAYS ONE FRIGGIN’ WEEK AGO, so he “revised” his plans and asked me if I wanted to go camping instead. Well duh.
He has made sure to remind me that he is still planning on abandoning his pregnant wife this summer to hang out with his uncle, but at least it won’t be this soon, good Lord, give me a little time to plan some diversions again. Ugh, pregnancy hormones are exhausting.
The place we normally camp at was crawling with people, so we went to a place we haven’t been to in a couple of years, which requires a mile-long trek away from the car, up and down a fairly steep-ish mountain. We didn’t really plan for that. In fact, Josh didn’t even pack a backpack, just a bunch of tubs on a handcart, which we had to push and pull up and down that damn mountain. Seriously. We won’t do that again!
A rare sunny moment. The temperature never climbed higher than 64 degrees, which meant that I was cooold! No sunbathing, no swimming! Heigh ho!
I am 13 weeks and 2 days pregnant. I’m making baked potatoes with “the works” for dinner–I don’t usually make potatoes, but I had two left over from some recipe and I never waste food. Real bacon is gonna be on these potatoes, and then tomorrow I will use the rest of the bacon for crustless quiche Lorraine, MMMMMM. Can you tell it’s almost dinner time?
I have more photos on the actual camera that I will post later this week, mayyyyyybe.
Maggie and Bear Cub had a swimmingly good time! Ha ha! Catch you later, blog-logs.
