NYC Adventure, Part 4: Beautiful Brooklyn
Heyyyy blog! I haven’t blogged this consistently in…well, a while. But I have a lot to blog about right now! Specifically, Brooklyn! Here’s some graffiti I spotted in Brooklyn. These “Protect Yo…” graffitis were all over NYC. Someone was busy!
Wednesday morning we spent a little time walking around Brooklyn Heights. This was a really beautiful neighborhood.
Inspiring architecture at every turn.
Can you even…?? It was really quiet, too. Probably because everyone was in school or working (to afford living in Brooklyn Heights!).
We stopped at a little park for a while to try and get oriented. I knew there was a stained glass art installation somewhere nearby that I HAD to see, but it took us a while to figure out where.
Sigh. I remember where I was. Do you?
Ungfffff so dreamy! I realize we only saw a teeny tiny section of Brooklyn, but it was GREAT.
As it turned out, the stained glass house had already been taken down, but there was another stained glass art installation by the same artist nearby. It’s a water tower, visible on the top of the building. Too bad we couldn’t get any closer!
It rained on us the entire time we were in Brooklyn (but look how cute we are).
I know this is the worst picture of the Statue of Liberty EVER and what’s the point, right? Well, the point is for me to remember later on that YES, I DID see it, and it was much smaller than anyone ever expects, ha ha haaaaaa.
Viney.
Josh decided the best thing to do that morning would be to walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. It’s only a little over a mile long, and even though I had shin splints from Tuesday’s 5 mile run in Queens I couldn’t really say no.
I like this. We stopped and bought a butter pecan ice cream cone at a shack down by the pier.
View from the Brooklyn Bridge Park.
Hello!
Lobster jokes.
Discovering that the stained glass house was gone was depressing, but checking out “Jane’s Carousel” was pretty cool. Too bad it was closed that day.
Built in 1899!
Walking across the Brooklyn Bridge with a ton of other tourists. I’m glad we did it, even if my lower body was resisting.
Hey, what? That’s it? Apparently that’s it for now. Join me tomorrow as we go to Patricia Field! And “Trash & Vaudeville”! And MORE!
