We’re all born naked and the rest is drag
It’s my very first mandala painting! I’ve always liked mandalas, and I have to say the process of inking the design on the canvas and then “coloring” it in with paint is very satisfying. ALMOST as satisfying as methodically de-tarnishing all of my silver jewelry recently, boy was that fun! I was sad when I ran out of jewelry.
Getting my Artface on. As of last night, I have everything painted in twice, so tonight I get to start adding fun details. Glitter? Shimmer? Like I could resist.
This pretty little butterfly at the dog park (pretty sure that’s a pine cone, not a dog turd) was bright blue on the other side, but do ya think I could train it to flutter its wings on command? Nope.
Big old bright blooming rhododendrons in our front yard.
This is what my morning commute to work looks like. Jealous?
Our backyard is filled with these little fuzzy friends.
A tired and filthy Maggie dog after one of our Couch to 5K sessions. I’m already on week 7!
Other than one particularly humid day where I felt like I was running through molasses, my forest jogs have been quite enjoyable.
Oh Lord. Remember last month when I fell back into a Kurt Cobain K-hole? Well, this week I fell into a Club Kids K-hole when I discovered that Michael Alig and Ernie Glam have a daily talk show on Youtube. Of COURSE I had to re-read “Party Monster” (hell, it only takes a couple of hours to read the entire book), and then I skimmed through the movie. Terrible, terrible movie. So much promise! I can still remember watching the preview for the first time and squealing with anticipation. Heigh ho!
Apparently there is yet ANOTHER documentary about the Club Kids out there that was just released this year, called “Glory Daze”. I need to get my hot little hands on it.
These sweet-smelling roses are climbing all over the trellis in the backyard. You know what else I want growing in the backyard? Calla lilies. They are all over around these parts and they are so beautiful and elegant.
C’est moi, this morning. I daringly wore a white shirt to work, fulling expecting coffee stains (or other stains–yikes). Me and white clothes do not get along.
RuPaul is teasing us this week with a re-cap episode, but I’ll be back next week to discuss the “Drag Race” finale! Or back sooner, if I have anything fun to say. Mwa hahahahahaahaaaaaaaaa.
Oh yes if you are reading this please please please buy a ticket for my art show I love you I need you thank you.
