Drag Becomes Her

Hey squirrelfriends! On this episode of “Drag Race”, my current fave Katya won the main stage challenge (they had to do a drag version of “Death Becomes Her” and envision their draggy demise) with her take on “Sharknado”, complete with a stuffed shark eating her leg. Hawt!

Check out this sweeeeeet ride I saw tooling around the neighborhood the other day. The color reminds me–Corinne wants to get a purple Vespa. Can you picture the Broad on a tiny purple Vespa?! Swoon!

The little park we go to every day has a network of trails behind it that I’ve avoided because Josh told me he once saw a coyote. I was feeling BOLD today, though, so I checked it out–nature extravaganza! I also combined my daily dog walk into starting the “Couch to 5K” program–I installed the app on my phone so it tells me when to walk and when to run. I figured I’d much rather run in nature then on the boring old treadmill…the weather is absolutely gorgeous today.

Just look at these gorgeous blossoms! I may have to re-consider my vote for favorite season–I’m leaning towards spring, now. Heavily.

Speaking of heavily, I’m glad I started running again today. I just need to remember to wear two sports bras next time, ha ha ha harrrrr. I bought tubs of strawberries and a graham cracker crust at the store today and was all prepared to harvest our massive rhubarb plant and then I hacked off a branch and realized it’s not quite ready yet. Still a little too green. Heigh ho! Strawberry pie it is!

Last night we turned all the lights off and watched “The Shining”. Apparently one positive outcome from having cable is that “Xfinity on demand” has every Kubrick movie available to watch whenever we please. I thought we’d work our way through them all again, for “fun”. Except “Barry Lyndon”, of course, SNORE. Oh man, speaking of snore, I attempted to re-watch “Room 237”, a documentary that is all about various conspiracy theories about the meaning of “The Shining”, and it is SO BORING. How can you make such a fascinating movie into such a mind-numbingly boring documentary, I don’t know. It takes talent!

  1. I meant to make this comment earlier, but oh, well! Don’t worry about rhubarb not being ripe. The inside of the stalks is always greenish. As long as the rhubarb is long enough to cut, it’s ready to eat. Sorry I didn’t tell you that earlier.

    1. Aw shucks, and I went ahead and used all the strawberries in a very unsuccessful strawberry pie! Maybe you can help me harvest the rhubarb when you guys are here this weekend!
