Satur-Yay!
Hallo, children! What are you up to on this marvelous spring day? I took the rogs to the forest-y dog park this morning, dressed in long pants, a short-sleeved shirt, a sweatshirt, a fleece, with a winter hat AND thick gloves on. Happy “spring”!
Now I’m guzzling coffee and thinking about performing some Blogilates in the living room, in my underpants. Josh is skiing with Muncle. I have zero responsibilities today (I had a WW meeting but I didn’t go because I still haven’t lost any weight).
For tomorrow’s Easter fest at Grandma Shirley’s, I am planning on wearing this dress, with a little white cardigan and my nude fishnets and some metallic flats. I’ve been wanting to get a spray tan, but after the dermatologist snipped a couple of things off my forehead I have two healing wounds, and I’m scared to get tanning spray in them. I could cover them with band-aids, but that would just be…weird.
I bought this lovely silk dress off Ebay recently, haven’t worn it yet. I also bought a fabulous pair of Coach flats, 80 dollars for 280 dollar shoes, and wouldn’t you know, they are a tiny bit too big. I never know any more if I am a 9 or 9.5, and this gamble on the 9.5 didn’t pay off. Now I’m trying to re-sell the damn things back on Ebay. Ugh.
Here’s a view of the backyard, looking down from the master bedroom. Look at the giant rhubarb plant! What in the hell should I do with it?
Always worth my moneys: Calyx perfume. Mmmmmm, don’t ever leave me, Calyx perfume.
My neighbor’s across the street are having a yard sale. I don’t need or want anything, but I kind of feel like I need to be a good neighbor and at least go check it out. I’ve been listening to this album, really good and mellow:
Enjoy!
Rhubarb!!! You should make it into a fabulous apple and rhubarb crumble, or cobbler and serve with lots of icecream and/or cream. Rhubarb in desserts is amazing!
I was thinking of strawberry rhubarb pie, actually! With a graham cracker crust. 🙂 There’s just so MUCH, I didn’t think the plant would get so large! And it’s only April!
I’m totally jealous. I pay something like $6.50 AUD for a small bunch at my local markets here in Australia!
