Christmas Bliss-mas (part 1)
Heyyyyyy I know it’s 2015 now and all but that doesn’t mean we can’t travel back in time to um…last week and review Christmas 2014, does it? Here I am being classy in my Humble Kitchen, making Fleeta’s sugar cookies.
Here’s that fabbuu recipe, if anyone’s interested. Delicious and highly addictive!
Making the Christmas cookies this year was a team effort. Note Maggie in the kitchen. We try to keep her out, but somehow she alllllllways creeps back in.
Voila: frosted and ready to snarf. Mmmmm.
First photo of Josh and Maggie at my parent’s house, doing what they do. Maggie doesn’t look very enthused but trust, she’ll take any attention she can get.
The tree this year, with temporary teal glitter star on top.
The familiar sight of my father in shorts and Uggs, eating chocolate. It’s a Christmas tradition!
Another Christmas tradition: the lasagna.
Josh dressed up on Christmas Eve. We attended the special Christmas Eve service at my family’s church. The band wasn’t even that bad. Their pastor talks like an old hippie and his voice soothes me. It soothes Josh too…he said he may have fallen asleep “seven times”.
Stephanie and Stewart on Christmas Eve. I can appreciate that Stephanie changed out of her fancy shoes right after church ended. They both asked for, and received, new Uggs for Christmas. My brother removed his tie the moment he walked through the door, and I asked him to put it back on for this photo. This was the end result. Actually I think Josh “arranged” it for him that way. I don’t know how to tie a tie! Maybe I should learn one of these…decades.
Mumsie and Pops. I’m happy I captured real smiles this year!
The three bearded mens. This one’s a keeper.
Not the most flattering photo of any of us, but here we are. Note Maggie joining the picture, too.
After church and snarfing of my father’s lasagna, we all sat in the living room and opened up some presents, followed by a rousing game of “Would You Rather…?”
I had never played “Would You Rather…” before, but I enjoyed it. I basically play this game all the time with Josh, I just didn’t realize it had a name. I had to pass on one question though, which went something like: Would you rather have a genius child that never wants any affection from you, or an affectionate trouble maker?ย That’s tough! In hindsight…I guess I’d rather have an affectionate trouble maker. Hmmmm. Maybe.
Bear Cub was not “living courageously”!
I didn’t take any photos the next morning during the tearing-open-presents-wildly time, or even the eating-Belgian-waffles-and-bacon time after that. Here’s the print I made for Josh of one of my favorite photos of his.

It started snowing Christmas Eve, so the next morning after breakfast we had our first of several snowy park visits with the rogs.
Ooh baby, it was COLD. The wind was not pleasant! The sunshine almost made up for it.
Turns out I took more photos with my camera than I had originally thought…so I’ll be back with more tomorrow! Right now I have to feed some pets. Not even 4:30 and it’s practically dark outside, gross, winter.
You’re the greatest! Great wrap up and family and laughs etc xoxo
Thanks Raymeroo! ๐ ๐
