Camping is good for me and you
Summer camping trip #2 last weekend, yayyyyyy!
Just ONE MORE TO GO and we’ll have made the 3-camping-trips-per-year goal I always make every year.
We camped along the Cle Elum river, you remember, where we got shot at three years ago? Yup.
What a gorgeous weekend it was.
We floated down the river and on the lake, feasted on lots of trail mix and beef stew, and enjoyed fresh books. I read a book about climbing Mount Rainier. I never thought I would enjoy books about mountain climbing…but I do.
Nature is Good!
Our little tent continues to serve us well. I smartly packed a tiny pillow to sleep on at night, so I slept 97% better than usual.
Oy vey, I’m busy this week. I agreed to pick up a co-worker’s hours at a nursing home in South Seattle, so now I’m spending 2.5 hours per day on the freeway. IT’S SO BORING.
Thank God I don’t have to commute every day. I don’t think I’ll be helping out this co-worker again…not into commuting. SPOILED.
Joshy braving the cold river in the morning. I’ve been so worn out this week, I haven’t exercised at all. I feel slightly guilty about it. Well…there’s always next week, body!
This upcoming weekend we are either camping again, or um…not camping. And next weekend is Bumbershoot, which we are actually going to attend this year! It is, after all, going to be author Tom Robbins FINAL public appearance EVER, and of course I’m not going to miss that. I haven’t been to Bumbershoot since I’ve been sober! WOO HOO!
Here’s a little ol’ video. Bonus: sparkle fingernails at the end!
ooooh gorgeous singing, it’s so lovely to hear your voice while playful doggies go duck hunting. What a beautiful place, you live in a gorgeous part of the world Liz! Third camping trip coming up – yay! xoxox
Thanks sweets!
