Kauai, Day 4: Part 3, sunset on the ocean
Aloha, kiddies. Well, it’s nighttime and I’m a little sleepy, so this seems like the perfect time to wrap up the Day 4 entries…sunset on the Blue Dolphin Charter, returning from the Na Pali Coast.
This was the “dinner” cruise…so they served us dinner, on the boat. A full luau feast, with all the fixins…even some coconut chocolate chip cookies for dessert. Nice touch! There was also a champagne toast for the drinkers.
This guy was certainly enjoying himself. Look at that grin!
Optional: doing a “Titanic”-esque pose while one of the crew members snaps your photo. We opted not to. I hated that movie anyway. Bor-ing!
I edited down the 50 or so pictures of the sun setting that Josh snapped to…well, three or four. Reasonable!
Freezing my cha-chas off at this point, but putting on a brave face! Brrrr, Kauai!
If I did it again, I would bring a warm hat. Sea Bands are a must; ginger chews: not so much. Would I do it again? Definitely. You have to see the Na Pali Coast if you go to Kauai–it’s like nothing else.
Hmmm…I think this actually might be a sunrise photo. Whoops! Thanks for putting the photos in chronological order, computer! SHEESH.
Whew! Day 4 complete. I am wiped–had a lovely weekend with lots and lots of sunshine and dogs and brisket sandwiches and riding bikes and MORE! Time for me to get horizontal with a book.
