Andrew in drag, nature photos, and work news
The only girl I ever loved is Andrew in drag
That song has been rotating in my head ever since I popped on FB a moment ago to see Josh’s cousin’s new profile picture–in full drag. I admire his stromph. I commented “WERK”. Maybe someday he’ll be a contestant on my favorite reality show of all time! Yay!
The new part for our broken treadmill came 5 days early, and Josh is currently fixing the treadmill. I’m scared that it’s not going to work out, so I’m doing my best to not pester him while he works. FINGERS CROSSED. I need to be training for “The Color Run” next month! It will be our 3rd Color Run. I plan on really going over-the-top this year with my outfit. I’m thinking neon fishnets, hair chalk…hair chalk would be fun! I mean, I’m already going to be blasted with colored powder, why not start with rainbow hair?
Josh pointed out these giant, cartoon-like yellow lilies on a hike last weekend. I saw them again today when I took the dogs for a jog/walk at the park. I’d like to bring my real camera to the park and get some nice close-up shots of them–they are very unusual-looking.
Another week of work complete, and I officially got hired today, which means my new job will start Monday. No more temping! No more week or month-long stretches without a job! No more having to do an hour-long commute through downtown Seattle! I am so relieved. This has been a long, loooooong time coming.
Looking at fondly, but not purchasing, cute little sandals from Delias. The only item I’ve bought in preparation for our Kauai trip is a new bikini…I’ve stockpiled sunglasses, sandals, and dresses over many, many years…what else do I even need, really? Maybe a new pair of shorts. I’m tempted to bring a bunch of my pettipants to Kauai and remove them from the store. It’s not like they’re selling like hotcakes, and they all fit me.
Two beauty treatments that I am getting before Kauai, however, include eyelash extensions and nail shellac. Beauty without maintenance is best for a tropical vacation.
PUPPIES! Never gets old. I am so happy the parks department built that new dogpark…we have such good times!
Ohhhhh I think we’re going to the Mongolian Grill for dinner tonight. Mmmmm. Stay tuned for my “Remembering Kurt Cobain” post tomorrow–April 5th, 2014 is the 20 year anniversary of his death. KEXP has been playing wonderful Nirvana and Nirvana-influenced songs all day, and it’s making me nostalgic. In a good way.
