I was gazing at my little Urban Decay eyeshadow palette the other day, thinking what a shame it was that is has these bright, fun colors that I never wear. I mean, doesn’t every color DESERVE to be tried on, at least? And then coordinated with an outfit and photographed? You bet it does.

So of course I went for the weirdest one, “honey”, yellow in the palette but a nice gold on my lids, with a tiny bit of “shag” around the edge, because I can’t do just ONE color of eyeshadow on the lid, aka: “garage doors” (thanks RuPaul’s drag race for the slang).

Verdict: not bad, for gold. Next up: PINK, a color that notoriously makes me look…sickly. Meanwhile, it is raining like mad and I have a couple of stir-crazy pets to contend with. Also: considering another painting of Louise Brooks. Because more Lulu is always better, isn’t it?
