Doin it and doin it and doin it well
Hi. This was a “side bangs” experiment from the other day. I have this fantasy about going to a really really expensive hairdresser who knows EXACTLY what to do with my hair, and not only will they “fix” it, but they will then give me the knowledge to “fix” my own hair every day. Like this hairdresser, who promises “haircuts that will get you laid“. Pretty sure I could be bald and still get laid, but I would like for this blonde stuff to look cool, somehow.
Then again, who cares about hair anyway, when it’s hat season? Josh bought me this dog hat at the gas station as a joke and now I wear it around the house every day, because it’s now the time (November through April) that I am cold ALL THE TIME. In spite of gas heat (pfffft), a nice little portable space heater, and layers and layers of clothing. Still cold. All the time. Like an elderly women (shhhh).
What did we do, post-Halloween, this weekend? Not much. Took down the Halloween decorations (a fast job this year). Gobbled some sub-par Fred Meyer donuts. Took the rogs to the rogpark in crazy hail, right before the “big game” on Sunday. I really really really really don’t care about football, but it seems like everyone around here is Seahawks crazy. I promised Josh yesterday that I don’t feel like I’m missing out. Anyway, when he plays football on the television on Sunday it just encourages me to get out of the house more! And go to the gym! Right? Riiiiiiight.
His outfit for work on Halloween. Those are actually my vintage plaid polyester old man pants that I used to wear in high school, along with a navy long john shirt and my navy Converse. Ah, grunge! I miss ya!
How could I possibly pass up neon pink furry earmuffs that read I MISS SUMMER across the band? PERFECTION. Maybe the only redeeming quality winter has is all the cute little furry accessories, eh?
The pets and I just returned from the park, and now I have about an hour or so of daylight left to attend to the Phyllis painting. I’m sure a lot of painters can work at night under lamplight, but I’m not one of them. Natural light is best!
Yup natural light is the best … I can’t sew at night unless I’m desperate. Absolutely ADORE the old man pants!!! I was once married to a sports nut and I simply cannot bear having sports on the telly or radio any longer. I do love the cold, I know, I’m mental … I live in the very climate which would be perfect for you! Can we swap … pleeeeeeeeeeeeeez? xoxoxo
I really want to visit NZ and Australia some day–I know I’d love it. I discovered during a trip in 2011 what my IDEAL climate is…Hawaii. Mmmmmmmmmmmm.
