A haircut, dinner options and some encouragement
Ah…nothing like a fresh haircut. I now pass my hair salon every time I take the rogs to the new dog park, and I was WAY overdue for a trim. I generally get professional hair help 2-3 times a year…the rest of the time I make due myself. I even just purchased a new pair of bangs trimming scissors but my entire head needed to be cut. As per usual I fantasized about getting something exotic done but ultimately went for the same old haircut–a rounded-off trim in back with a couple of tiny layers, and a trim on the bangs. She did a great job! My hair looked fabulous yesterday.
Too bad this morning armed with my round brush, hair dryer and “Tresemme” hairspray (recommended by a gay co-worker YEARS ago and maybe it’s time to upgrade?) I had the same bangs Issues. Damn cowlick. Oh well. Could be worse, I suppose. No grays yet (knock on wood).
It’s Friiiiiday! I worked today, so that word has meaning. Thank God I don’t have to do anything for the next two days. I’m hoping mass quantities of Emergen-C will destroy this stupid lingering cold I’ve had for the past week. Tonight’s dinner choices include either blueberry pancakes (mmmm) or tofu vindaloo over jasmine rice (mmmmmmmm). Either way, something delicious will be flying into my mouth.
I just received a really nice text message from someone I’ve worked with:
You are a really good artist…shit. Give up {your day job}. Paint all day
and then, a moment later:
You are really good. Never give up
Awwwww…painting encouragement! You know us sensitive artist types need all the encouragement we can get, siiiiiigh. Well, I am definitely enjoying working on the platform shoe painting. I’ll post some painting-in-progress photos soon. I love having painting projects!
