Sunshine, re-decorating and multitasking
A sunny day last weekend. I was feeling lethargic and PMS-cranky but then the sun came out, purple eyeshadow found its way onto my eyelids and a purple dress I made ages ago (that hasn’t fit in a while) glommed onto my body and I suddenly felt inspired to take some self-portraits! Funny how that works. Sunshine = productivity, I mean.
Same thing happened again today–even post-haircut, which generally makes me deliriously happy, couldn’t seem to offset my kind-of-sick and day-before-period and cloudy days Blues. I took the dogs to the park, the sun came out, and BLAM! I’m all re-energized. Oh sun. How I love thee.
Joshy and I re-arranging the paintings last weekend. The two that he put up over the fireplace in this shot are unfinished, but still decent enough to hang.
Instead of having various plants scattered in different rooms of the house gathering dust, I clustered most of them near the large front room window. I think I was inspired by Corinne’s living room jungle.
So I like my new couch pillows, and? It had been a long time coming. I don’t know why, exactly, but buying new stuff for the house is never a priority for me. Shoes are so much more fun!
I packed up the dogs at the park, drove us home, put away dishes, loaded the dishwasher, put on my painting apron, and completed the entire background of the platform shoe painting. Women ARE excellent multitaskers, huh?
