Waterfalls, wet dogs and promises of high temps
It’s Monday! I don’t have work this week, but I do have a paying babysitting gig tomorrow night, so that’s…something.
These photos are from the 2 mile hike at Franklin Falls we did on the way to Spokane last weekend. Josh is really into Instagram. Most of his photos are of his snowy weekend adventures–he’s @djmagicelf, if you wanna follow him. Look at the sunburn he got on Saturday! HA HAHAHAAAA oh actually sun damage isn’t funny. Re-application is the key, mang, we’ve been over this!
He divides his weekend with his uncle and I–he goes skiing on one day, hiking with me on another day.
In case you were wondering, you CAN ski year-round. You just have to keep going higher and higher.
The Franklin Falls–pretty powerful. Bear Cub was definitely nervous.
I pretty much always look like a geek when we’re hiking. It’s not about glam!
I “juice fasted” (with cheats) again on Saturday. It was easier the second time around. Reason? Lots of ice water and lemon. I had more energy, too–took the rogs for a 2 mile hike at Marymoor Park.
A week from now I’ll be going to Boise! I hope its gonna be HOT. Wait a minute, let me check the weather report…
98 99 97 88 89?!? YES. GIVE ME HEAT.
Josh said, “Remember when you went to Boise two years ago and it was so hot, you couldn’t even stand to be outside?” Well, YEAH, I remember. Don’t rain on my parade, meee-yan. I also plan on going to “Eyes of the World” for a new sundress (previous purchases there include this owl dress and this white dress), gobbling “flavor burst” ice cream cones, going to the gym, and hanging out with my brother. I’ll have plenty to do!
Did you guys watch the “super moon” last night? I’m afraid we both got distracted, watching a documentary about Snoop Dogg in Jamaica (spoiler alert: he is super baked the entire time).
Hiking is so not about glam but your T-shirt and you are still adorable. Won’t it also be humid there too? Sorry:) my sister just did some crazy juice thing where she didn’t eat solid food for a few weeks, freaks me out, but I could see a day or two for someone else not me.
Nope, Boise has no humidity. It took me over a year to get used to the humidity of Seattle! Yeah, a day or two once in a while, not consecutively, seems to be key for me. It’s all about balance.
nature loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
nature is gooooooood.
