Feelin’ green
Hey blog, didja miss me? I’m posting pictures from a week or so ago, during one of our many hikes. I haven’t uploaded the photos from Spokane yet.
I don’t think I took too many photos in Spokane. I mean, it’s not really appropriate to take funeral photos, right? And I mostly just forgot the rest of the time.
I’ll tell ya what I did in Spokane: ate a lot of those evil, delicious Costco cookies, gained 3 pounds…
…went to “Finders Keepers”, and BOUGHT NOTHING. Of course, as I was leaving FK and feeling pretty astonished by my thriftiness, I saw a woman on the street wearing the cutest sandals.
“Where did you get those?” I squealed at her, and she actually pointed to the store directly behind her. When does that EVER happen?
I had to buy them, of course. Less than 40 bucks and 20% off on top of that, yeah buddy. Josh doesn’t like them but I received compliments galore at the post-funeral party, so THERE, Pierre. Never let a straight man’s opinion dictate what you wear, that’s what I always say!

The funeral was very emotional. Many tears were leaked, many handkerchiefs were soaked. Josh had a peculiar grimace on his face during his speech and he told me it took all of his strength not to cry the entire time. Maw. His grandfather was a very beloved man. It’s a shame I didn’t know him earlier in life, before the Alzheimer’s came along.
On the way out of town we stopped up in the mountains and took the rogs for a nice 2 mile hike, which is a great idea for the future–get them nice and tired for the car ride.
I am working this week and VERY VERY VERY happy about it.
Currently chugging cold coffee over ice with a splash of vanilla soy milk, getting ready to shake it around the park with the girls.
I called my father on Father’s Day and wished him a happy one. It’s around 90 degrees in Boise right now…mmmmmm. I’m visiting in two weeks and can’t WAIT for some heat.
I’m crazy about these huge leaves. We go on the most beautiful hikes! Happy Tuesday, blog logs!
Never let a gay guy with bad taste influence how you dress either, wait you weren’t talking about my Dad here:) loving all this green wishing I was out in it more!
Your dad’s gay?! Tell me more, tell me more.
