A pretty hike
Josh is still home from work with a screwed-up back, but he wanted to go for a (slow) 2.5 mile hike yesterday in the woods around Bellevue, which sounded pretty good to me.
Also I was highly motivated to get a granita after said hike. Can you say GRANITA OBSESSED? The coffee shack by our house makes excellent ones. Most places don’t offer a granita. Starbucks does something called a “Frappuccino”–not even close. Just for “fun” I looked up granita machines online–between 1-2 thousand dollars! Ne’er mind!
Joshy next to a large stump. He’s going back to work tomorrow. My mother thinks he should NOT do the Color Run on Sunday, but we may just walk it, which is fine with me. I need to figure out what sort of obnoxious outfit I’m gonna wear–one that I don’t mind getting saturated in colored powder. I might just wear last year’s outfit again–would you believe all the powder washed out of the tutu???
I’ll probably get a fake tan. Maybe paint my nails neon. This is my favorite polish color right now–I got it in Maui, it’s the perfect shade of neon orange with pink reflections and a matte finish.
The pay-off of this hike (don’t you love that?) is a beautiful waterfall.
Josh (I’m experimenting with using his real name instead of “the Boy”) and the dogs got closer than I did.
I use Picasa to upload my photos but it doesn’t upload videos as well, so the videos just sit on my camera until I remember to do something with them. SOOO here’s a video from last month of Josh eating rainbow chip cupcakes for the VERY FIRST TIME!
And here’s Bear Schnubs at Marymoor the other day, going for a little swim:
Finally, here’s Josh and the girls near the waterfall, yesterday:
