Lashes, twins, and happy fabric
New eyelash extensions! Yaaaaaayyyyy. I took this photo in the car, right after I had them done. Yesterday I was planning on taking some nice portraits with my actual camera–I put on a little foundation, a little eyeliner, and BAM the Crimson Wave came to town, basically incapacitating me for the rest of the day. Booooo.
Saturday night we went out for crab. It was delicious. The past couple of days I have 100% surrendered to my PMS cravings, which have included: leaf-shaped maple sandwich cookies, crab, and CAKE. I can’t even imagine how much weight I’ll put on in pregnancy. Hopefully it won’t be as much as I put on in graduate school, an early 20’s alcoholic with a grilled cheese habit. Yikes! I’ll take pregnancy weight over booze weight ANY TIME.
Speaking of “any time”, I’m starting Clomid tonight. You know, that drug that gives you a 7-10% chance of conceiving TWINS? Yyyyyyeah. I’m praying for a single child. JUST ONE AT A TIME, PLEASE LORD. I also have an appointment tomorrow at a naturopath, which I set up before I knew I was going on the Clomid. Eh, couldn’t hurt, right?
“Grey Gardens”, as a play, is coming to the ACT theater! The Boy pointed this out to me, being attuned to my obsessions and all. We might have to go.
I’m in the process of making myself a cute little shift dress with this bright happy fabric. It’s been my idea for a while to find one cute dress pattern, and then make a whole bunch of cute little spring/summer dresses with it, so this might be the one. I hope. I may be able to finish it today, if I get on the Midol Express. Uh, being a woman SUCKS.
OMG grab me a seat at the Grey Gardens play won’t you? I would love to see how the Beales’ story translates onstage. OK I’ve never seen eyelash extensions before. And now I want some. HUGE-O!!!!! Yours are so amazing and boo to the rag:(. xoxox
Eyelash extensions are expensive, but WONDERFUL. Especially for me–a natural blonde with thin, blonde lashes. Wake up and instant glam! You’re supposed to get them refilled every month, but I usually can’t afford the upkeep. So I look fabulous for a month until they fall out. 🙂
so here’s some unsolicited advice from a stranger: I’ve heard of two different people conceiving after getting into yoga (not only was it not their motivation for starting yoga, getting pregnant was completely unexpected). vinyasa flow in both cases, which may have opened up some blockage, energetically or otherwise. who knows? just an anecdote that resonated with me as possible. best wishes-
thanks T. I like yoga. I was just thinking this morning (trying to get myself to fall back asleep) that I should really start doing yoga classes at the gym. I also really like Pilates–my gym doesn’t offer it, though. 🙁 Cheap bastards.
