Ferries, food, and flatforms

ferris wheel
Hallo, kittens! We are back from our trip to Bainbridge Island. I actually had a better time than I would have expected. I was a total slacker in the taking photos department, but I did take a few, which I’ll get around to uploading at some point. In the meantime, you can gaze upon my faaaabulous Instagram photos. Oooooh, ahhhh. This was taken on the ferry on the way to the island, a 30 minute ride.

cute dresser
On Saturday I went to every single shoe/clothing/jewelry store Bainbridge had to offer, and it took less than two hours. Not impressed! I did like this dresser, though.

“We could do that,” the Boy scoffed when I showed him this picture. Well sure we could, but will we?

I decided on Friday to boldly go off my diet, and in two days I gained 4 pounds. That’s riiiiiight. However, it was worth it! Here’s a partial run-down:

– BLT chips (okay, those weren’t worth it)
– a Butterfinger (also not worth it)
– incredible amazing gorgeous cheesecake brownie ice cream (SO WORTH IT)
– lobster macaroni and cheese (SO WORTH IT)
– layered carrot cake (SNARF)

Probably other things too, who can say. It was a whirlwind of activity in my mouth.

park
The one park on Bainbridge Island that had a “dog” area was completely empty, so I let the dogs run free all over it. Not a soul around. It was kind of weird, since Saturday the weather was gorgeous. I kept busy enough that I didn’t even dip into the book stash I brought from the library. I only purchased one thing: a pair of tiny lavender and silver stud earrings with little crescent moons and stars on them.

platforms
However, ever since I sent away for the credit card to “improve my credit” I have been OBSESSED with cruising for shoes on the internet. These were my first purchase–they were out of my usual size 9 but I went ahead and ordered a 9.5–sometimes my monkey toes need a little breathing room–but they were too big. Too bad–I am all about the flatform and they are hard to find.

Well. So. That wasn’t very exciting, was it? Speaking of not exciting, I have no work lined up this week, so my day today is going to consist of: unpacking, laundry, dishes, treadmill, and grocery shopping. BOOOOO. On the bright side, I sent away for two snappy little dress patterns so I could go fabric shopping. That sounds niiiice.
