…I got an angry inch! We went out to celebrate my 5 Years of Living Booze Free last night to the Moore Theater (Seattle’s oldest theater) to watch the “Hedwig and the Angry Inch” show! I loved it. Jinkx Monsoon (who I promptly fell in love with when I watched her “Drag Race” audition and further crushed on when I watched her perform at Julia’s last month) played Hedwig, and did an amazing job. I’ve always been a huge fan of the film–I’ve seen it several times, and my friend Christy made me a copy of the soundtrack years ago, so I have most of the songs memorized. I was curious how the stage show would compare to the movie, and I was not disappointed! During the song “Wig in a Box”, a fantastic array of wigs on heads descended from the ceiling on wires and the audience sang along! The actress who played Yitzhak was excellent as well. The Boy, who apparently is pickier about his musicals than I ever would have imagined, complained afterwards that it “dragged a little” and he had “too much time to think”, but the only thing I thought was MORE JINKX. The latest season of “Drag Race” starts in 4 days and I cannot WAIT! Jinkx for the win!
