Heh-heh-hello!
(I used this photo last year but I’m recycling it again because caring is sharing!)
Happy day-after-Christmas, blog-logs! I wasn’t planning on blogging during this trip, but just now I somehow got sucked onto the computer instead of laying horizontal on the couch watching the E! channel like I had planned and here I am. The Boy and my father went to see that new Tom Cruise movie “Jack Reacher”. I watched the preview and decided I had 0% interest in going, and opted to stay home with the rogs and piles of sugar cookies instead. Mumsie had yesterday off from work, thank goodness, but had to work Christmas Eve and today and tomorrow too, with sinusitis, to boot. Luckily she went to the doctor’s office and got some antibiotics and pain killers to take. Poor Mom. Being sick during the holidays is awful!
It’s been relaxation and walks with the dogs around the block in the snow and lots of my dad’s infamous and incredible lasagna and a whole bunch of movies (“The Campaign”–funny, “Lawless”–merp, “Ted”–way better than I would have expected, based on the preview, and of course, the eternally hysterical favorite of my family “What About Bob?”). I would love to stay here several more days, because I always enjoy coming home, but we have to leave again tomorrow morning for our looooooong 8 hour, snow-infested drive back home. I no longer need to take Xanax to deal with driving in the snow but it’s no picnic, mang. I suppose the drive will give me a chance to explore “Words with Friends”, which I’ve finally put on my phone. I’ve been nervous about becoming addicted, but if I play in the car as a passive passenger then it’s not really a “waste of time”, right? Rrrright?
