Funny videos and yarn inspiration: a celebration
Thank youuuu, body, for letting me sleep in until 7:30 this morning. Much appreciated. Muchas gracias.
This is so damn funny. Yesterday I played a bunch of Lonely Island videos on a loop while I sewed suspenders onto a pair of the Boy’s ski pants.
Last week Corinne and I went back to “Pacific Fabrics” to drool over yarn a little more and for me to buy the floral rickrack to make my mother some throw pillows, per her request.
Sooo many gorgeous yarns, soooo expensive. My sister-in-law text messaged me over the weekend that Pacific Fabrics was having a 20% off sale–OF COURSE! Too late. I told her that I can’t go back to that temptation palace until after Christmas, oy. In the meantime, Corinne signed us up to receive e-mails from them, so we won’t miss out on any more sales!
Corinne lives really close to “Pacific Fabrics” AND “Display & Costume”, lucky duck. We need to move. Have I said that before? Uh huh.
This silk yarn was the most amazing, vibrant magenta color, but it didn’t really translate in photographs. Eh.
Corinne was doing a nice job of avoiding buying anything UNTIL…
…they busted out the neon yarn! Right while we were standing there! IT WAS FATE.
Oh, COME ON PACIFIC FABRICS. What are you trying to do to me? I do know how to knit, I made a few things, like scarves, but now I’m leaving the projects up to Corinne and Kissy. Corinne bought some neon yarn, naturally. It was surprisingly inexpensive. And so fabulous.
Quilt inspiration! I love the bright colors against black.
Corinne’s growing yarn stash. She went to “Hobby Lobby” yesterday with a co-worker and spent 100 dollars (!) on more yarn and glitter candles. I was mad that she didn’t invite me (it was a beautiful sunny day and I had been up since 6 a.m., besides), but proud of her for hoarding craft items! Hobbies are fun!
Here she is buttering up her very first turkey. Maw!
Today’s goals: sweaty cardio. Start pillowcases. Figure out canvas size for next painting. Good Times!
