Zane
On Thursday, following up on a rather cryptic note from my friend Lisa on Facebook that I happened to see, I found out that her husband Zane was in the hospital. He had been rushed to the emergency room Sunday night with a fever of 103 degrees, and a white blood cell count of 94,000 (normal is 4,500-10,000). He was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia, and placed on an aggressive chemo regimen, which would run 24 hours a day, for 7 days.
Zane passed away yesterday. It has been a shock to everyone. Zane and Lisa were together for 10 years–I was the maid of honor at their wedding. They have three beautiful children–Sadie, Aurora, and Orion. The entire family visited Josh and I over the summer and everyone was happy, healthy, and we had a wonderful time. I am so sad for Lisa, one of my best friends for 15 years.
Zane, you were a great guy and a wonderful, loving father and husband, and you will be greatly missed.
so sorry to see this. how awful and shocking. i remember the summer post – beautiful family. even as a complete stranger i will keep them in my thoughts. would be difficult not to.
Thanks Taylor.
Liz we are so unbelievably sorry to hear about Zane. We remember him, Lisa and their beautiful children at your wedding. What a terrible loss.
Thanks, Fleeta and Bob.
This is awful!! I’m behind per usual and after reading about your visit with Lisa (so glad you went to see them!) I had to backtrack and find out what happened. I straight up cannot imagine. Wow. She must totally be in shock. It’s so hard to know the right way to love on people when they’re grieving. Yay for your happy, sparkling, bright self showing up and lovin. Will be sending good thoughts their way. So sorry about Zane.
thanks Pom.
