San Fran Lerve: Part 2
Sunday was the day of my cousin’s wedding. We drove to my Aunt Lisa’s house, where we would spend the day prepping for the wedding. And by prepping for the wedding I mean sitting around and eating and talking and then, at the last possible second, getting ready.
They just moved into this house recently. The backyard was cute, and featured fruit trees, including an avocado tree–that unfortunately was non-fruit bearing. Blast!
I can’t believe I still don’t have a hammock. How many years have I been yammering on about needing one?
We hung out with Aunt Lisa’s friend and my mother, who was staying at the house. Then I pulled the hoops out!
My Uncle Mike’s brother Pat had been e-mailing me, asking me a lot of questions about hooping, which I excitedly responded to with links to instructional videos as well as how to DIY a hoop.
I showed him my limited repertoire of moves, which, let’s face it, hasn’t changed since 2009.
Later on, my uncle took a spin. Seems natural–this is the same uncle who we met up with at Burning Man in 2009. A fun uncle!
After we got dressed for the wedding at my aunt’s house, we drove over to UC Berkeley to the Faculty Club, which was where my cousin’s wedding took place and also, conveniently, where we spent the night.
The dress worked out alright. It’s not my favorite dress in the world, but it was comfortable and cute and certainly, good colors for me.
And would you believe I’m saving the actual wedding photos for tomorrow’s blog post? That’s riiiiight. I’m too hungry to edit 50 more photos, trust me.
Also: I started a job today that will last for a month, so that means less time for blog-log-a-ding-dong! Also: spider season has arrived. I don’t even want to DISCUSS the moppers I killed outside the back door when I got home from work today, ugh. Help me, Rhonda.
GReAT colours on you. great hair too!!!!! I have a hoping friend in Toronto. You are everywhere.
thanks Raymers.
I love hooping! I had no idea you hooped.
Yomp. Since January 2009! I have a whole Flickr photo set devoted to it: http://www.flickr.com/photos/thewhocaresgirl/sets/72157622522379225/
