If you wanna live, treat me good
Last night I had a powerful craving for some crab legs dipped in hot butter so we went to “The Crab Cracker”, the very restaurant where Corinne tasted crab for the first time (without me).
Our waiter was gay and extremely accommodating. When they didn’t have mint to make the Boy’s mojito, they gave us a salad for free. When my romaine lettuce leaf had a bug on the underside (note: ew), they gave us another free salad. When they were a little “late” bringing us our food (no later than any other restaurant, really), we got a free dessert. All in all, two crab dinners, two desserts and two drinks for the Boy = 50 dollars! Not too shabby!
I made a set on Flickr that’s just me in bikinis. I was astounded that it only contains 180 photos…since 2008? It seems like I’m always in a bikini! Well, for three months out of the year, anyway. Okay, maybe two (damn you, Seattle weather).
We have been watching a show that documents various crews who attempt to climb Mount Everest. I am shocked at how interesting I find it. For example, did you know that 80% of deaths occur on the climb back down? That they don’t remove bodies after death, so there are 120 corpses on the mountain that you might casually run into during your travel? Fascinating. Okay, I am officially a nerd now.
In two hours I have a double appointment for brow waxing (“But you don’t have any eyebrows!” exclaimed the Boy), and a FULL eyelash extension set. I say FULL because the last time I had them done I paid a discounted price for only half a set, and they fell out incredibly quickly.
I’m paying a discounted price again today (90 bucks), which makes me a little nervous, but I suppose they only have to look good for the next couple of weeks.
I’m excited about San Francisco! Squeal! Squeak! What should we do there??? Suggest away!
I LOVE documentaries, books, etc. about mt everest and its people. It’s fascinating.
yay san francisco!!
have fun!
oh good, I’m glad I’m not the only one! In case you’re interested, we’ve been watching “Everest: Beyond the limit”, and it’s instant on netflix right now.
and thanks!
