Lake camping part 2: camping is so coo’
Well hello there, friends. It’s me, night blogging.
Woo hoo! I had the urge (to purge) when I came home from work, but I couldn’t bring myself to spend an hour “editing” (ha) photos and logging my blogging when it was a nice sultry 90+ degrees outside. No sir.
Oh my God, isn’t it magical when you take a picture of someone taking a picture of you? Ooo-ooooh.
I sat outside this afternoon and painted my fingernails and toenails something delightful called “Hidden Treasure” by Sally Hansen which featured a giant wide brush, so you could paint all five appendages without dipping into the bottle a second time. Fabbuu.
I also shaved my legs with a battery-operated gadget I bought a million years ago, dusted lavender glitter on my upper thighs and snapped a photo or two. Quite an afternoon, really (not really).
Ohhhh I have soooo many camping photos, and the best part is I want to do it all over again this weekend, so next week will be allll camping photos again. Thrill?
It was too hot to take the dogs to the dog park today so I gave them oversized sticks of rawhide to gnaw on instead.
Then I lay on the couch in my underpants playing “Angry Birds” and half-listened to “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” until the playstation made noises like it was going to explode, so I turned it off. The playstation does not like heat, or rain.
It’s nice to be working again this week.
Unfortunately I cut my bangs too short so I’m pretty certain people think I’m “special”.
This outfit sure is “special”. I am wearing all Boy stuff here–his Nike workout shorts, his pastel running tee-shirt from Lord knows what year, and best/worst of all, his mint-green hat.
The news is filled with reports of fires raging out of control, fans selling out, old people/baby hot weather warnings, and selfishly…I’m totally stoked that we finally have a hot summer. We haven’t had one since 2009. TRUST ME, I’m paying attention.
I was pretty excited about the freeze dried ice cream!
Just look at that crazed expression! But mehhhh, it wasn’t worth the hype. I wouldn’t buy it again.
Dogs love camping. I love dogs.
The Boy read this weird hippie pamphlet about fly fishing and then attempted it Sunday morning. He didn’t catch or see any fish.
Can you see my Chaco tan lines?
Sunset. Coming up next: Sunrise! I know you’re riveted. Did you make it to the end of this post? What are you doing with your summer? What’s the last shoe purchase you made? What song is in your head right now? COMMENT BECAUSE I LOVE YOU.

What are you doing with your summer? – I went to BlogHer in New York, and just finished moving from Edmonton AB to Calgary AB. Settling in with my boyfriend into our new house.

What song is in your head right now? – “Proud to be an American”, for some reason. But not the normal natural song, this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fSJqdMRpNWk
