Hallo, blog logs. I’m typing from I-dee-Ho, where the temp is supposed to reach around 100 degrees today. Um, hooray?

I had to immediately go out and purchase a sack of generic Big Sticks and some new nailpolish–it’s the little things in life. This fun color is “Sun Worshipper” by China Glaze, a glorious matte-finish neon tangerine.

Mumsie’s surgery is tomorrow morning. Turns out my father will be in town after all–originally she thought he would be out of town, and I would have to drive her/pick her up from the surgery. I am no longer necessary.

“You didn’t need to spend all that money on a plane ticket!” she cried, but I’m glad I came anyway. After all, he will be at work this week, and who knows how she’ll be after surgery, how much help she’ll need. Do I want my poor mother, all hopped up on painkillers, trying to do laundry and dishes and walk dogs? Of course not.

Sally says, arf arf arf! She’s going to be twelve this year. Crazy, man.

Abby is 300 years old, but she’s still kickin’. She’s had a few strokes too. That dog has a will to LIVE!

Say hello to Shelly, the newest member to the fam. She’s a four-year-old Border Collie, but Mom and I both think she’s mixed with a little Pit Bull. Check out the ears. Also, she’s strong. I took her for a walk last night and had to employ Cesar Milan’s “CHT!” technique multiple times.

Now that I have Instagram, I can blog with pictures ALL WEEK! How exciting for us, er, both, huh? Yeah. Happy Monday! I’m gonna take my brother to get his hair cut today, and then I’m pretty sure we need to make a stop at Big Bun so I can get a “flavor dip” ice cream cone. Again, you know, it’s the little things.
