A little consumerism and M.M.
Occasionally I get bit by the consumerism bug (I’m only human! And…Amurican!). This time it happened at “Cost Plus”, which is a perfectly acceptable place to get bit, because everything is pretty and fairly inexpensive. Let’s explore my purchases!
New placemats! They are beautiful on both sides, too. Oooh, ahhhhh.
I bought this bath fizz for one of the Boy’s cousins, who recently had a birthday. It looks exactly like my favorite flavor of ice cream, mint chocolate chip, so of course I was drawn to it.
As much as I like the “grown-up” leather purse I bought myself last year, I thought something a little more spring-like (and rain friendly) was in order. It semi-coordinates with my floral Doc Martens (important!).
Hmmm? Oh! Here’s your naked ass shot of the day. You’re welcome.
Impulse buy. Maybe I was just hungry, because this stuff smells so gooooood. I slathered it all over my legs one night before I went to bed and the next morning everything smelled like chocolate.
I could have sworn I put it in my basket, but somehow when I got home with my purchases this card didn’t make it home with me. I loved it so much I went back to Cost Plus the next day to get it again, for the Boy’s grandfather.
Get it? Lab? Ah hahahaha. I do love a good dog card!
I went back with the Boy and we perused their lamp section (did they have a lamp section before?) because we’ve needed a new lamp for the bedside for years. I almost went with a turquoise base and grey/turquoise flocked lampshade, but the Boy liked this one better, and he was right. Those colors are perfect.
My first cucumber sodie. Delicious.
“The Seven Year Itch” has its flaws, to be sure, but Marilyn never looked more radiant. This is, after all, the film where she has the infamous white dress scene.
“You can tell,” remarked the Boy, “That she’s just acting dumb. I heard she was actually really smart…”
“She was,” I told him. “And sensitive.”
Here’s an interesting little documentary about the backstory of “The Seven Year Itch”. I never knew that Walter Matthau was almost cast as the main character, but Fox didn’t want to take a chance on a “newcomer”.
Happy Friday, blog-log-eroonies!
those placemats are gorgeous! I really want to try cucumber soda now!
cucumber soda is so refreshing! perfect for a sunny day. I’ve been fantasizing about them ever since. a LOT tastier than the coconut water we tried from Whole Foods yesterday (merp).
Aaawwww…that painting of Lily is awesome! You really captured her pampered-pooch-ness. It’s so sweet, I could look at it all day. If I could just take my eyes off Steve Lemme’s ass. Yum!
thanks Jenn! maybe I should paint a bubble butt next?
a Bubble Butt SERIES! 🙂
