hair powder and a fabulous lotion
If you have (naturally) blonde hair, every particle of dirt shows up, which makes it easier to be a dirty hippie, but a pain in the ass if you don’t like your hair to look greasy. I am a greasy hair phobe (I’m looking at you, Ethan Hawke!), so I’ve rotated through many a hair powder in my day.
I ordered this recently from Amazon, and when it came in the mail I snickered when I opened it up, because the container is so tiny. I suppose I expected a full-size can. I originally wanted this one, but changed my mind at the last second and went for the more “popular” one. Mistake, Liz! Next time: go with your instincts!
Channeling Jerri Blank? This powder has a weird consistency–it almost feels wet. And sticky.
Startling difference? Who can say–I haven’t actually tried it on greasy hair yet. I’ve been sick all week and my nighttime shower is something I look forward to. Let’s just say I’m not impressed.
However, this lotion, which, at 30 dollars, is a little high end, is totally worth it. Coconut-y without being cheap. Delicious.
My head is filled with goop, and I am on antibiotics, BOO. So much for that Saturday run, eh? The Boy is up in the mountains taking an avalanche course. OH GOOD for all those avalanches I plan on getting trapped under in the future, phewwwwwwww.
I woke up this morning thinking about getting a body wave again. I imagined leaving the hair salon with a massive head of curls, everyone oohing and awing in my wake. But then waking up the next morning and being all, “Hey, I want my straight hair again.” Hmph.
I used Bumble and Bumble hair powder last year when my stylist gave me some as a gift. I liked it.
my hairdresser told me a body wave would be a waste of money, ’cause my hair is too long. ohhh wellllll. more peroxide it is!
What is it you’re trying to do to your hair Liz?
I don’t knooooooooow…
