The revolution begins!
Last night we got all sweaty and stayed up WAY too late for geriatrics (3 a.m.?!) and the Boy played new video games for __ hours (Portal 2: snarky and entertaining) and I watched an entire episode of the new new newer new “Ab Fab” and covered myself in Korean blemish balms and synthetic fabrics and took 10 billion self-portraits but the IMPORTANT thing is…
I made my very first pair of pettipants yesterday! For the REVOLUTION! Yyyyyeah! Actually, I made two pairs of pettipants yesterday, I had the fever.
Who knows what I was thinking about when I chose that fabric months ago, but that’s okay. The important thing is that I made my first pair of pettipants, they are wearable, and I am happy.
I ordered some fancy clothing tags from an online company last night in the midst of the petticoat frenzy…pale pink with gold letters. Oooooooweeeeeee!
Would you look at those magical seams? I couldn’t bring myself to put four spools of black thread on the serger, so I just serged with the original threads: yellow, red, green, and blue.
The serger is a dreeeeeeeaaaaaam…I taught myself how to thread it, and after some initial resistance I mastered it. Pretty good, considering I have A.D.D. and am allergic to following directions, especially involving instruction manuals. This is the beginning of a beautiful friendship, Brother 1034D!
Oh, I’m having serious serger envy over here. Let me know how this beauty holds up. I need to invest in one, one of these days, and I love my Brother sewing machine. Can’t wait to see all of the gor-geous things you create, dahling!
thanks! me too! I have piles of knits and velvets I’ve been hoarding for years, waiting for a serger to come along…
New AbFab I posted on yer F B wall…2nd episode
yah babe!
congrats! enjoy! I’ve put that same machine through the ringer, and it is still awesome. Serging is fun and easy to learn.
thanks for the recommendation! it was easy to learn!
