aqua house
A lot of the houses in Maui were painted this aqua color, which is 1. one of my favorite colors and 2. always the color I’ve envisioned painting my own house, if that ever happens.

leafy scene

overlook
Our next stop was this incredible beach with black sand.

overlook right
This was when it finally caught up with me–the beauty of where I was. The sort of unreality of it all–this place I’d seen in movies and photos all my life–I was there. Intense!

rock arch
The Boy and I were both fascinated with this rocky arch.

There it is again!

f and b on the path
On the far left you can just make out the two tanned teenagers who were walking around in nothing but Speedos. Hi-lar-ious.

This is when I informed the Boy that I wanted to live in Maui forever, and ever, and everrrrrrr. On video!

happy face!
This is my “real smile” according to the Boy, “not that fake one you do all the time”. Well yeah, of course I was smiling. Wouldn’t you?

  1. Your “real” smile is SOOOOO beautiful. I was struck by it even before the Boy’s comment, because, well, it felt like that was the first time I’ve seen your teeth… haha. That doesn’t sound right. But I know how it goes with self-portraits vs someone capturing you in a moment of absolute BLISS. 😀
