Peachy-pink hair, don’t care
Hey blog! I woke up from my glorious Afternoon Nap today and realized it was the last day of the month, and I should probably blog something. So what has happened so far in 2021? I rang in the New Year by coloring my hair with Lime Crime’s “Sushi”, a peachy-pink. It only lasted about 2 weeks, but it inspired me to try more colors.
I received this “One Line a Day” journal for Christmas, which is a low-key, no-stress way to sum up every day, for a whopping 5 years.
Bear Cub continued to be my “running” partner for the full “Couch to 5K” program, which I finished yesterday! Am I running a 10 minute mile? No. But who cares? I still did it.
Mr. Chunks has actually started putting two words together in the last week, notably “Daddy Go?” MAN he’s smart. And so cute.
This is the “Sushi” hair after 9 days. Next time I’m planning on using the recommended 2 bottles of dye. And I’m going bubblegum pink. For Valentine’s Day!
Joshy and I both had our Covid vaccines this month. He already had his two steps, and I receive my second step this week. TAKE THAT, PANDEMIC.
I’m not painting anything currently (which always makes me feel vaguely guilty) but three times a week for a couple hours I spend in the basement working on my miniature greenhouse, another Christmas gift. Lots of tiny plants to assemble.
We got a new President this month too! The Trump supporting patients of mine are NOT happy (like I care). “Biden’s an asshole,” grumbled one of them the other day. When I asked him who his favorite President of all time was, he replied “Nixon.” Uh huh.
Last week I went back to my hairdressers and got…
…blonder! This is the blondest I’ve been in years. She didn’t use bleach, she didn’t do highlights, I asked her 3 times what she did and she told me each time but do you think my old-ass brain filed that info away? Nope. Some sort of “lift” I think. Anyway now all the dark roots and under-hair is gloriously blonde. I’m addicted.
What could be a better sight than boys cleaning the kitchen, eh?
That was quick! 2021 is looking UP. See you next time, blog…with pink hair.
