Sweet lovers love the spring
Hieeeee! Wouldn’t it be great if we could all have as much enthusiasm as Goo in his first big boy bed? This picture seems like it was from 4534535 years ago, but apparently it was just one month ago. Wow.
What’s happening around here? Pandemic still on. The governer is allowing some counties in WA to move to “Phase 2” this upcoming week, but it’s doubtful that we will be one of them.
The nursing home I work at has cleared an entire section of the building for Covid positive patients, and they’ve started to admit, so now working with positive patients is unavoidable for me. I’m following all the precautions.
And still managing to find time to puzzle, read fiction on my Kindle, and uh…paint my nails. Not so much time for art, though. Darn it.
I’m supposed to do the annual art show in the garden in August, but I wonder if it will be canceled? It IS an outdoor show. But lots of people go to it.
I used to have a Fitbit but apparently gave it away to my mother, who told me that she lost it. I looked them up on Amazon and they are 120$! What?!! So I bought the cheapest clip-on pedometer I could find, 14$ and possibly not accurate. Yesterday without trying I averaged about 5,000 steps. Isn’t the goal for “fitness” 10,000? I have a long way to go.
This morning one of the first thoughts I had when I woke up (after dreaming long intense shopping dreams) was I’M BORED but you know? We’re all bored. Rich, poor. We’re all so bored. A pandemic is BORING.
Mother’s Day. In retrospect, I wish I had curled the bottoms of my hair. Josh bought me a bird feeder (what am I, 80?) and I bought my mother a pair of size 6 pants because I’m tired of seeing her size 8 pants bag on her.
Wow according to Flickr this self-portrait of mine got put into “Explore”, has over 4,000 views and 100 likes. Gee whiz! Why can’t I ever achieve that popularity on IG? Oh that’s right–I don’t PAY for popularity.
We are heroes but that’s not enough to warrant handsoap refills in the rehab bathroom, apparently. I had to buy some myself. WAH WAH WAH.
Look at the adorable sunglasses I scored at the dollar store!
Just the right shade too. I scored.
Mom and a Chunky Hunk. He’s getting a helmet in 2 weeks! Bye bye, flat baby head!
He deserves the best! Look at him.
It was World Goth Day recently (I love the fact that it’s in May when the weather is sunny and beautiful). I applied a pre-made make-up filter over my work face and this was the result.
Artists post art giveways on IG pretty frequently–I’ve even done one myself, and Josh and I recently won this blotter art from a local Seattle artist. Cool!
Speaking of art, I should paint something, sometime. See ya later, blog.
