Christmas Christmas time is near
My my my, where has the month of December gone? It’s flown by, I tell ya!
I sold another painting! This beautiful little red-haired girl now lives with blogfriend Liz in New Jersey.
Here I am dressed up for our family Christmas portrait. We would have done one anyway, but it just so happened a photographer friend of one of Josh’s co-workers wanted some pictures for a portfolio so he came over to the house and took about 600 pictures of us.
I put my sweet little Goo in overalls! I love him in overalls.
Voila! This was the best. It is SO HARD getting a toddler to pose.
And forget about Santa! WAHHHHHH. We had to make it a group effort.
Note to self: this would be a totally fun project to do someday.
I turned THIRTY-NINE this year (for the first time) so I made myself a “Don’t Question Me” tee-shirt and we went to “Hot Cakes” in Ballard for grilled cheese sandwiches and hot lava cakes. Mmmm. For my birthday all I wanted was dark chocolate and lavender-colored roses, and my husband complied. Good boy!
Brenna watched Goo during my birthday dinner. For Ronia’s Christmas present this year I went to Claire’s and bought her a bunch of stuff that I would have loved at age 9: a glitter make-up bag, a rhinestone unicorn keychain, a sparkly R necklace, a rainbow water bottle, and some reverse-sequin slippers that are SO cool, Josh bought an extra pair for Elliot. I love him.
Insert random shoe that caught my eye while thrifting…
How can something so beautiful (grilled cheese) be responsible for something so awful (tight pants)?
My mother definitely has my card taste nailed.
Here’s the Christmas tree when it just had lights on it. Only 30$ from Costco this year, what a steal!
My desire for “self-care” (as the millennials call it) always goes up when I’m sick, and this week and half long brutal cold demanded a face mask. I didn’t know it was a sheet mask until I opened it up. Verdict: not impressed.
The tree wouldn’t be complete without the pink flamingo ornaments.
C’est moi! I’ve made a decision to quit cutting my hair for 2019. Except the bangs, of course–my fivehead requires fringe. I want hippie hair again! And since I’ll be pregnant for most of 2019, the timing seems good.
Jerry made the decision to not go to Spokane for Christmas this year, which means that we are also not going to Spokane for Christmas this year. I was pretty stoked about it–I HATE driving over the Pass in winter. Josh is disappointed.
I have to get my sushi on before I get pregnant again. Priorities!
This is without make-up before bedtime but I used an app to give myself eyelashes and take away the under-eye circles, which is BY FAR my favorite feature of the Perfect 360 app.
I’ve bought just about everyone’s Christmas presents, I just need to buy Joshy one or two more things and I’ll be set. I have 0 stress about Christmas this year, which is nice. Merry Christmas, blog logs! See you in 2019!
