Give thanks!
Oh blog-dee, oh blog-da, life goes on, yeah! Oh-whoa how life goes on. Here’s a dog butt! Mr. Bennett gave me a little snuggle during our trip to Spokane for Francis’s memorial service.
Barnacle Bob, Anne Marie, and an old friend of the boys’ spoke, and there were many cookies afterwards, and I may have gained three pounds.
On the whole the memorial seemed less emotional than her husband’s, when multiple members of the family were openly weeping. Anne Marie cried throughout her speech, and tears definitely pricked my eyes. It was my third memorial.
Josh now has two remaining grandparents alive, and they are both 87 and doing very well, thankfully.
No amount of gym is gonna balance out those cookies, bay-bee. But one can be optimistic!
Looky here, I finally finished this painting! Only took 8 years. Well, there was a gap of 8 years between starting and finishing. You know. HERE SHE IS!
If I had a bunch of money here are some things I would have done: eyebrow wax/tint. Lash dye/perm. Laser for broken capillaries on my face.
Someday after I’m doing pushing out babies I’d like to get my varicose veins that I’ve had since age 22 dealt with. But only if they don’t come back! I’ve had a few things removed from the derm that have grown back–wtf? They should warn you.
The night before I went to bed I sprayed Redken’s “Wind Up” on the ends of my hair, put it in a high, loose bun, and voila! Mermaid waves the next morning. Ooh la la!
Dis Goo is now in a “big boy” bed. He fell out multiple times the first evening, so Josh installed a small beam across the open end.
Why do they have to grow up so fast? That fat baby stage was, I swear, like a blink.
BUCKET LIST: Tokyo.
Subversive cross-stitch at Brenna’s house. Super appropriate for this family.
I don’t particularly like what snails do to our garden attempts but they sure are cuuuuuute.
I still have un-posted pics from our NYC trip, three years ago. I took so many pictures!
What else is going on? I’m working. Baby M is starting daycare on December 3rd, my 39th birthday. I already made a hot pink “DON’T QUESTION ME” t-shirt to mark the occasion. I tried to get a photo of Patsy in all her vodka-swilling glory on the t-shirt but was informed it was copyright-protected. DAMN.
I’m SO excited about turning Patsy’s fake age that I’m going to talk someone into giving my hair a French twist for our night out! Yes!
Which reminds me, I need to get some Duo lash adhesive so I can wear falsies on my birthday. Can’t ring in 39 without lashes, sweetie dahling!
Gaze upon this magical photo that Josh took of Bear Cub, would you? I love it.
And then look at THIS horrorshow! Gahhhhhh!
I’m really excited about this kid starting daycare. Our babysitter has been wonderful, but he will 1. socialize more 2. have a set nap time and 3. we will save $$$ with this change.
We had Thanksgiving at Grandma Shirley’s house and I made this fabulous bacon green bean casserole and it was mighty tasty.
Still blonde! This must be one of those deals where you resemble your partner more and more the longer you’re together, right?
He hasn’t quite got the knack of this bubble blowing yet.
So many fun toys at grandma’s house!
Speaking of grandmas, this “E” bracelet belonged to mine, Eleanor, also the name I would have chosen if I’d had a girl. Eleanor Rose.
Poor old crippled Maggie was a little less crippled today due to her week of no park/rest so I took the girls to the park today. Brrrr! I keep forgetting that it’s the end of November and gloves would be handy!
Here’s Grammy and baby having some fun times. Bob and Fleeta are staying with us this weekend to top off Thanksgiving week.
Stay tuned to hear all about my 39th!
