Maui Wowee
Hey blerg! I haven’t seen you in while, eh?
This was back on Easter, which seems likes AGES ago (20 days ago to be exact). Some dummy hit the baby and I in my car as we were on our way to drop off library books that day. My car is being repaired by his insurance, currently.
The damage was just some external bumper problems. The baby and I, thankfully, were just fine.
Don’t forget children: reading is fundamental. Ru Paul taught us that! Speaking of Ru Paul, I sure miss watching “Drag Race”.
After weeks of gloom and doom-y rain, rain was forecasted also for the week we were to spend in Maui, but I didn’t believe it!
And sho’nuff, it rained a little the day we arrived and a little on the last night we were there, but was nothing but sun sun sun in between. And rainbows! So many rainbows.
It was baby’s first plane ride, six hours to Maui and six hours back, and really he did 75% well. Got a little squirrelly at the end, of course, but who wouldn’t?
The Broad came over for a couple of visits!
My Maui manicure was neon pink glitter. Something about Maui, I think, just calls for bright colors.
A little last-minute shopping at Ulta, where I purchased this fun holographic glitter eyeliner by Urban Decay.
Baby on the plane ride to Maui–he only slept for about 30 minutes! Luckily we were all seated in the back so there were multiple hands to pass the baby around to.
I thought I would be as passionate about shave ice as I was back in 2011–but really, it’s just TOO MUCH! Look at that thing.
I have a new passion now–Dole Whip. Mmmmmm.
These canned coffee drinks were delicious too.
Notable dish: poutine smothered in duck fat YUM!
The view from our hotel room–not too shabby, eh?
On the beach with Joshy. A lot of the photos are in photo albums, and thus didn’t upload to Flickr. For the full Maui photo experience, you have to check out my Instagram @e.p.holcomb.
Ahhhhh Maui! This was at the beginning of the week when my fake tan was still on. I leave Maui paler than when I arrive! Ha ha.
Maui has the most beautiful ocean sunsets.
The baby was the only member of our six adult, three child party who did not get sunburnt!
What did we do this time? Snorkeled three days. Swam in the hotel pool. Swam in the ocean. Saw sea turtles! Went to the aquarium. Went to the swap meet. Did a little shopping. The ladies got a massage, thanks to Brenna.
I didn’t buy much. This tee-shirt for myself, a tee-shirt for the baby, a couple of toys, one necklace at the swap meet.
Probably gained ten pounds, but who’s counting? My scale has a low battery! Ha ha haaaaa.
Here’s the whole fam, the day we left. I love you Maui!
We bought Ronia this rainbow sequin fanny pack as an early birthday present, while in Maui. Ronia is easy to shop for–I just buy her things I like myself!
Here’s Goo sleeping for two sweet hours on the plane ride home, awwwww.
Alright blog, my mom is visiting and I need to get off the computer now. Talk to you later!
