October wig fun
Hey blog! Are you having a Bear Cub day?
Recently re-lashed. It costs me 60$ every three weeks and I really can’t afford it…but I’m still enjoying it for now. I did quit getting gel nails, at 30$ a pop, because with the prenatals my nails grow too quickly now. What else am I not getting anymore? Oh yeah, MAID SERVICE. Man I miss Celia. That was niiiiiice.
Maggie always positions herself under the high chair, for maximum food droppage potential. Sometimes the baby will feed her directly from his little baby hand.
My mother has been going through old paperwork and photos and has been texting me everything. Here is one of little Lizzy’s love notes.
And little Lizzy herself. This was taken at my grandparent’s house. Look at that white hair!
Just as we were finally getting back to one wake-up per night, Mr. Baby started teething again. He has two lower front teeth and now he’s getting one of the top middle ones. So the first night he ran a fever and woke up every hour…then two hours…and so on…we’re down to two wake-ups per night. Teething is rough!
As seen on IG. So pretty!
Josh and I have hated the drinking glasses we received as wedding presents for years now, so I was excited to find a full set of tall drinking glasses and tumblers with cool stars on them at the Goodwill. Ten glasses, eight tumblers AND a dress for 20$! SCORE.
Trying something new this year for October: a different wig self-portrait every day this month (until I run out of wigs!). This red wig was called the “Sweetheart” wig on Ace Wigs, who I used to order fun wigs from. I looked at the website recently and it appears as though they’ve gotten rid of all their “fun” wigs. Too baaaaaad.
Here’s the same wig back in 2007 (ten years ago!), about to enjoy a night on the town. Seems to me Josh and I went looking for a house party, found a different party, and just wandered in and enjoyed ourselves. Not the first time I found myself at a cool party that I wasn’t invited to, ha ha haaaaa.
Still not really sure how it’s possible, considering my floral Doc Martens are the same damn size, but somehow the size 10 rainbow glitter Docs I received for Christmas last year are too big! DAMMIT. They are currently on ebay. Bid bid bid away, friends with big feet.
Random image spotted in last month’s “Vogue”. I’ve always liked sheer gloves.
The neon wig of joy! This wig matches everything, and looks fantastic under the black light.
It even survived Burning Man!
You know how sometimes you see things at a children’s park that aren’t even creepy, but yet they are somehow creepy? Maybe I’ve seen too many horror movies.
Like these boy’s underpants? Obviously removed because he pooped in them, yet somehow creepier because they were at the park. Okay. Never mind.
It has been sunny and beautiful this past week.
It’s the Vanessa Kensington wig! And boy was she a hot mess after being flattened in a box for the past 9 years.
9 years? Wow. Feeling ooooooold.
Now THIS would be a fun look to do.
Time to start decorating the house for Halloween. We are throwing a party this year…a kid’s party!
The purple Bob! I seem to have a thing for bobbed wigs.
Notably I wore this wig back in 2012 when we went to a drag show and Jinx Monsoon lovingly stroked my cheek. Siiiiigh.
Look at that Bear Cub butt! Recently Maggie had a nasty bacterial infection caused by either drinking infected water (possible) or eating infected poop off the ground (probably). It required a trip to the vet and medication. GROAN. Luckily Bear Cub didn’t get it.
Look at this amazing golden tree we spotted on our walk yesterday!
Today’s wig is this long red curly number I wore to play “Lucy” as played by Sadie Frost, in the 1992 film “Bram Stoker’s Dracula”. Terrible movie but beautiful costumes.
Like THIS. Back in 2010. The year I quit smoking! Cough cough coughhhhh. Gross.
Have a good one, bloggy-logs!
