All I wanna do is have some fun
Howdy blog! This was last Sunday, a beautiful sunny day and what SHOULD have been a lovely relaxing family outing to Marymoor Park…foiled because we LOST MAGGIE. It happened pretty quickly after we got to the park. Both dogs pooped at the same time, I was bending over to pick up Bear Cub’s poop and Josh and I noticed that Maggie was gone. No big deal, she usually runs ahead of us to the water, so we went to the water…and still no Maggie. We ended up splitting up and walking all over the park searching for her. The baby was fussing on and off and my plantar fasciitis was rearin’ up and I was just starting to verge on panic (or at least, anxiety) when my cell phone rang and it was a nice lady from Portland who had found Maggie wandering around in the parking lot! I gave her a huge hug and thanked her repeatedly and then WE LEFT BECAUSE THE PARK TRIP WAS RUINED, THANKS A LOT MAGGIE.
It was the first time in 11 years I had lost her, not a bad track record. Still, never expected to lose Maggie. Bear Cub, sure, she’s an independent Cub. Thank God for nice ladies from Portland.
Crushing on Jemaine Clement as a vampire in “What We Do in the Shadows”. A cute little mockumentary about vampires.
Isn’t the Erte design on this notebook gorgeous? Josh bought this for me. It contains many sketches by me of his butt. You understand.
This metal tree needs polishing, but I’m scared to ruin it. What should I use?
Here come the daffodils! I love this time of year.
I was VERY excited to put the rainbow unicorn onesie on him! Too bad all of his 3 month clothes baaaarely fit, my little chunk! Sigh.
I am inexplicably drawn to this outfit. I think it’s the combination of seersucker + big pants…I love both of those things. Once a raver, always a raver.
Here’s what my baby week has entailed: lots of breastfeeding. Still pumping one bottle a day for Josh to give him at night (more like 4 in the morning). He is sleeping from 10-3 or 4, and then until 6, and then usually has a nap at 10/11 and another one at 3/4 in the afternoon. He smiles a lot, coos and says “Ah-Goo”. My nickname for him right now is Goo. He is sooooo cute, it hurts. He’s starting to look at the dogs, which I love.
Here’s what my non-baby week has entailed: finished my first little dollhouse painting, now I’m just decorating the easel and it’s going up for sale in my Etsy shop. Became super annoyed with the Joan Crawford painting and painted over it, OOPS! Try try again. Watching a lot of “Sex and the City” in the afternoons. Walking the dogs and sometimes the baby every day. Occasionally lifting weights (okay once this week). Went clothes shopping for the first time, post-partum, and was very humbled by the experience. Texted my cousin Erika to tell her about this experience, and she told me that she’s pregnant again! With another boy! We are meant to be boy moms.
Look it’s a white stability ball in the middle of a marsh! How bizarre.
C’est moi, yesterday, in one of my new larger shirts to accommodate my new giant boobs. Hooray for neon!
Expect a lot of flower pictures over the next few months.
That brings us around to today, in his cute little alien outfit! I was SO looking forward to this outfit, and now he barely fits into it! Good grief, we’re gonna be in 6 month outfits sooner than I thought. Happy Spring, blog-logs!
